We have been waiting for years for Milwaukee to release the M18 FUEL Rear Handle Circular Saw, Model 2830-21, and it does not disappoint. We will not spoil the video, but we feel we can say this is not the most powerful battery-operated rear handle circular saw on the market, but it is the most resilient to cut-outs during long term use. That means this saw is perfect for job sites where the tools are used often and at full depth.

When cutting in a lighter material, like 1" OSB, we found the older HD model Milwaukee Blade right circular saw to have a similar cutting speed and power. Once we added some dimensional pine to the mix to make the cut close to full depth, the New Milwaukee rear handle saw stood out with the torque and ability to keep running even while under significant load.

Milwaukee includes the 12.0 Ah High Output battery in this kit and the battery life is pretty fair. You can quickly drain the battery if you are pounding it through a 4x4 over and over, but for normal use, the battery will last most construction crews until lunch, if not all day. The kit, model 2830-21, alsi includes a fast charger, but not Milwaukee Tool's new super charger. even so, battery charging is stiff pretty fast for the size of battery this is.

Would we go out and buy this saw? YES, without hesitation. Milwaukee has a great lineup of tools and this is a saw that loves to work. It is comfortable and powerful. Adjustments and build quality are very familiar and overall the performance makes it stand out from the pack of other worm drive "like" saws on the market.
