Women's life coaching: Another self-love challenge!

Is Acts of Service a significant love language for you? Looking at my childhood experiences, it was easy to see why this one does not communicate love to me. Observe your own past to understand the ways you now give and receive love.

Service to myself feels like a "should" or "have to." I get to connect it with loving myself!

Kahlil Gibran's poetic essay "On Work" (from The Prophet) illustrates beautifully the power of service to express our love. How are you making your love visible?

Be yourself! Don't just go through the motions. Put your SELF into everything you do. Your love will come across in your actions.

Self-acceptance: Our self-worth is inherent--it shouldn't be linked up with our actions.

You naturally step into service when you know your self worth. And it will happen effortlessly, joyfully, and in flow.

When you give someone the last "dregs" of your energy, you can't help but resent them. So instead, give them the energy that overflows from the top.

What can you do for yourself that you've been putting off? Why are you resisting that action? Commit to doing it as an act of love for yourself.

Do acts of service with gratitude--focus on the privilege it is to serve and what it means about your life.
