How to Change your Porsche 911 991 Battery... With a Surprising Twist!

In this video we discuss how to change the battery in your Porsche 911 991. We also dispel some misinformation regarding Porsche batteries, so you can save quite a bit of money! Overall it's an easy job.

*Do I need to reprogram my battery?* If you're getting an AGM with similar AH, I don't think you need to. If you're switching to a Li-Ion, you may want to consider it. I'll post below the item you need to do this.

*Are Li-Ion batteries worth it?* Kind of! They last longer, require less Amp Hours, and are a quarter of the weight. However, they are about $500 more. You can get one on Amazon, but I'd caution that you may want to spring for the more reputable Anti-Gravity.

*Do I need a tender?* No! Your settings may reset (mine and others didn't), but that's easy to fix. It can be helpful but is not necessary to use a tender.

*What's up w your mouse infestation?* Apparently this is a common problem. We recommend you take your battery tray out (your dealer wont) and check yourself to make sure you don't have something eating your wires!

Porsche batteries are rebranded, so why not save the 500+ the dealer is asking for and get a cheaper one, or better quality Li-Ion?!
