I Started a YouTube Automation Channel and it EXPLODED

I’ve seen so many of these videos claiming you can start a YouTube channel, never show your face, and make 10s of thousands of dollars a month in Ad revenue.

Not only that, most of them claim they’ve pretty much outsourced the entire business to freelancers so it’s passive income.

…and now they’re creating their own YouTube videos (where they DO get on camera) so they can “give back” and share the how to’s with common folk like you and me.

Now, naturally as a skeptic, I can’t help but wonder if these people are actually for real……or if they’re just like every other marketer online trying to convince you they’ll share the secret method with you (if you just buy their course).

So I thought, what the hell….let’s find out.

Now in this video we’re briefly going to cover…
• what Youtube automation is
• what you need to start a YouTube automation channel and get it monetized
• the ups and downs of my experience building a channel like this
• And I’ll give you the exact recipe you can use to pump out videos SUPER QUICKLY without spending ANY money on them at all.

So YouTube Automation is the idea that you can start a YouTube channel, upload videos, and collect the ad revenue those videos get…..without ever showing your face.
Even though most people talking about this usually make it seem this easy, there are definitely some challenges I’ve learned about throughout the process.

The main challenge is getting your channel monetized in the first place. To do that you need to have 1000 subscribers, 4000 hours of watch time, and you need to comply fully with the YouTube Partner program requirements.

Basically that just means you need “original content”….you can’t monetize a channel by simply uploading someone else’s videos.

So to create videos for an Automation channel you’ll need…
1. A video script
2. Someone to do a voiceover
3. And an editor who can overlay video clips on top of your voiceover to complete the video

So step 1 is a video script…and I was able to hack this part of the process by using a paraphrasing software called quillbot. This thing is really cool.

Basically, you can take interesting articles that are already written….or even download the transcript from other successful YouTube videos….and run them through this website.

Then, it’ll literally rewrite the script for you in different words.

That way you have 1)original content…..2)you didn’t have to spend hours writing a script…..and 3)you already have a decent idea that that topic & video will do well

The next thing you need is someone to actually read your script aloud.

This is typically where people hire someone from fiverr to do a voiceover. But to be completely honest, a good voiceover artist can cost you a pretty penny

….and if you’re watching a video like this you’re most likely brand new to this idea and therefor don’t want to spend a lot of money paying for voiceovers on video after video (when you’re not sure it’ll work for you).

So, the simple answer is to just record yourself reading them aloud (at least in the beginning).

And if you’re worried someone will recognize your voice, you can just alter your voice slightly in premiere pro or final cut pro (you can learn how to do that on youtube in like 5 minutes).

One thing I will say about this is….DO NOT use text to speech.

Text to speech is where a software will read your script aloud for you. More on this later….

Finally, you’ll need an editor to put the visuals on your video.

If you don’t want to hire someone to do this, you can do it yourself.

The truth is, for a YouTube automation channel you don’t need to be the best editor in the world. You just need to learn the basics.

Typical ways you can create visuals for your videos are to use picture slide shows at times (just make sure you’re moving on to the next picture quickly (people’s attention spans are super short these days)….and also combine them with videos that are already created.

The most effective way to grab visuals without spending lots of time on this is to download relevant creative commons videos.

Since you have a brand new script, this will count as “original content” and you’ll be able to monetize it….but if you want to be absolutely sure, just add text captions to your video as well.

You can do that by using a site like rev.com, or clipscribe.com, or using software like adobe premiere pro, final cut pro….or even capcut.
