Metabo HPT (formerly Hitachi Power Tools) launched a new line of Black Tools. Metabo HPT 18V Brushless Driver Drill (DS18DBFL2QB) & 18V Brushless Impact Driver (WH18DBFL2QB). These models offer an affordable Brushless tool packed with awesome power.

Why the all-black tools?

We believe this helps us differentiate between similar-looking 18-volt and 36-volt tools allowing us to select the correct battery with the tool when wanting to use a smaller lightweight model.

Metabo HPT’s Brushless motor technology delivers more power to the motor by minimizing unnecessary energy loss through friction and heat. Brushless tools experience longer run time between charges, increased power, and extended durability with essentially no maintenance. The signature ergonomic design for the tool bodies makes them extremely well-balanced and comfortable for extended use. They are covered by Metabo HPT’s Lifetime Lithium Ion tool warranty and 2-year Lithium-Ion battery warranty.
These tools both come with a 1.5Ah Lithium-Ion battery pack and are compatible with all Metabo HPT and Hitachi 18V slide-type batteries, as well as the MultiVolt battery packs that can deliver 5.0Ah or 8.0Ah of runtime. The feel of the brushless
tools in hand reflect Metabo HPT’s detailed attention to balance, grip, and pressure points, making these tools extremely comfortable to use.

The DS18DBFL2QB 18V Brushless Driver Drill delivers an impressive 620 in-lbs of turning torque. Its 1⁄2” keyless chuck allows for fast, easy bit replacements and prevents bit slippage while in use. The 22-stage clutch delivers 22 torque settings for added versatility. The tool is capable of up to 1,800 RPM to handle a variety of applications. It’s equipped with a Responsive Variable Speed Trigger, which promises complete control during operation. Also, a built-in LED light helps to illuminate the work surface when
using the tool in dimly-lit areas. Compact and lightweight at just 3.5 lbs (with the 1.5Ah battery), the DS18DBFL2QB reduces fatigue in extended or overhead use applications. The DS18DBFL2QB includes the 18V Brushless Driver Drill, 1.5Ah battery, charger and
a #2 double-sided driver bit.

The WH18DBFL2QB 18V Brushless Impact Driver is compact and lightweight at 2.9 lbs (with the 1.5Ah battery). With an impressive turning torque of 1,522 in-lbs, the WH18DBFL2QB tackles heavier applications like tightening and loosening bolts, driving lags and sinking screws. Additionally, it can drill into wood and metal. This brushless impact driver delivers up to 3,100 max RPM and experiences an impact rate of up to 3,400 BPM. The built-in LED light makes working in darker areas a breeze by illuminating
the work surface. A keyless 1⁄4” hex chuck delivers a firm grip on the bit and saves time as bits can be changed quickly with ease. It is balanced for better wrist alignment which reduces fatigue during continuous operation. The WH18DBFL2QB includes the 18V
Brushless Driver Drill, 1.5Ah battery, and charger.
