Candy Cane Lane - 2022

Welcome to Candy Cane Lane 2022! This holiday season it snowed right before Christmas, so I was finally able to get a drive down Candy Cane Lane and get some video footage of it with snow on the ground. This year I made 3 passes up and down Outlook Lane in Prairie Village, Kansas. The first time through it was a little too bright, not quite dusk yet. The second pass through, it was a little darker, which made the lights pop a little more. The third pass was just about right; dark enough, but still enough light for my Wolfang GA420 action camera to capture some good detail. Once the sun is down and it gets dark out, most action cameras are not able to capture good video detail. There just is not enough light after sunset.

Anyways, I'm happy that I finally got a snowy Candy Cane Lane video. I cheated a little bit and created some falling snow with some special effects wizardry. And the Santa at the end is not real either, in case you still believe in that kind of stuff.
