In this video, I used the stock cutting wheels that come with the RIDGID 18-Volt Sub-Compact Brushless 3" Multi-Material Saw. Those wheels have a 7/16" arbor and are fairly hard to find. I can find a lot of 3/8" arbor 3" cutting wheels.

The issues in this video do not mean this tool is a bad tool. This is a sample size of 1. Something I did, possibly cutting forward with the blade going in reverse, tightened the arbor bolt so much that it could not be loosened.

Will the Ridgid Lifetime Service Agreement cover this? We will find out.

There is a lot of discussion on the Sub-Compact line of Ridgid 18-volt tools. With this tool, it also felt like it was a very small tool with a large battery. If you were making a long cut, the battery would get in the way if you did not have the support fence almost all the way up. Most won't make those long cuts, but for people who do, you will most likely run into that situation.

I shared this video because most YouTubers only show the good stuff. If you subscribe to the channel, you see the good and the bad of the stuff that happens on a daily basis. We work to be honest, not be brand loyal, and bring a wide variety of tools to the channel.

I hope you have a great day!
