The idea of a smaller right-angle impact is nothing new, but they tend to be slow. Pneumatic or battery ratchets are much faster but do not carry the power needed for many jobs. Ingersoll Rand created the new 1211max High Speed Impact Ratchet that has power and speed.

This new design has 625 RPMs and 80 ft-lbs. of torque from reactionless impact components. This happens with a unique twin hammer mechanism that allows for safer, reliable operation in high torque applications. This is also a true ratchet, as you have the normal ratchet to manually break and final tighten fasteners.
