The Milgram Experiment, conducted by psychologist Stanley Milgram, was an experiment designed to measure the willingness of participants to obey authority figures when instructed to act against their own moral judgment. The setup for the experiment consisted of three individuals: a "teacher," an "experimenter" (the authority figure), and a "learner." The teacher was asked to deliver a series of electric shocks to the learner when they answered questions incorrectly.
