With trailheads starting at 2,300m, the climb is doable for beginners, with many families bringing their elementary school children along for family hikes. Since 300,000 people climb Mount Fuji each year, making it one of the most-climbed mountains in the world, it can’t be that hard to climb right? There are four trails to climb Mount Fuji: the Yoshida, Fujinomiya, Subashiri and Gotemba Trails.
How hard is it? The ascent to the top of Mt Fuji is relatively easy as long as you're in good shape. There are a few challenging parts which are steep and rocky but they are not frequent. The main challenge is the altitude which can cause climbers problems, especially those with little climbing experience.#mountainclimbers
