Anita Vazquez Tibau has been working on a global ban on mercury in the dental sector for 20 years. As an international advocate, researcher, writer, and humanitarian, she has organized grass-roots events, and has published scientific papers and articles internationally on dental mercury and its global impact on health and the environment. She has participated in the United Nations, Minamata Convention on Mercury Treaty since its inception in 2002, and wrote and delivered the closing remarks of the treaty in Kumamoto, Japan on behalf of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. She has appeared on various programs both in the US and abroad.
