Oath Keepers Ken Harrelson, Jason Dolan and Tom Burgess escort speakers from the ellipse to "the egg" where a licensed First Amendment protest event was approved and scheduled to occur at 2:00 p.m. This event was never to take place because a coordinated push through occurred at around 1:59 p.m. that prompted thousands to peacefully walk to the East steps.

At around 1:57 p.m. a coordinated push through begins in the NE barriers. Less than a minute later, after the Vice Presidential motorcade had safely exited, a separate group that could be seen to be coordinating with groups in the West, pushed through to the East of the Columbus steps with persons on the leading edge responding to bullhorns.

This clip was an exhibit that was entered as a defense exhibit in 22 CR 15 (US v. Rhodes et; al) and 21 cr 38 (US v. Barnett). While largely unknown, it should be remembered that there was almost no significant violence in the East until approximately 2:35 p.m. when a group coordinated and trained actors attacked USCP in front of the Columbus Doors with mace and chemical sprays. During this attack where the USCP withstood horrendous abuse and acted heroically by not responding with violence against peaceful protestors, the area in front of the doors were cleared of any authentic protestors who may have wandered into the area and the group prepared for the doors to be opened.

The attack occurred during the last two stanzas of the National Anthem that was led by #Insider275 and joined in by the other actors. The Oath Keepers, oblivious, had been brought up to meet Harrelson and Dolan near the top of the steps and they all completed the singing of the National Anthem on the steps with no way of knowing what was occurring behind them, through a pillar, through a crowd and above them on the Columbus Door landing. After the song ended and the area in front of the Columbus Door was prepared, the Oath Keepers lingered on the steps. a short time later they were retrieved by the actors who had been attacking police above.
