Senator John Cornyn, (R) Texas: "Any deal on the debt ceiling is gonna have to be cut between the White House and the House of Representatives, and nothing that the Senate would do, I believe, would pass in the House. So that makes it pretty clear that this debt ceiling needs to be a negotiation between the White House and the House of Representatives."
