I love my barrel smokers! In this video, I show you how to make a 55 gallon metal barrel smoker with just a few parts.
Parts List:
1. 22 Inch grill grate - $32 - https://amzn.to/2SHnnn32.
2. Inch Brass Ball Valve - $40 - https://amzn.to/3vNBMwQ
3. 24 Quart aluminum steamer basket - $50 - https://amzn.to/3ySPpfW4.
4. 5 eye bolts with two sets of nuts for each bolt - $9.89 - https://amzn.to/3vJeVSO
5. Temperature Gauge - $11 - https://amzn.to/34zHFlc
Total: $142.89
Metal barrels can cost anywhere from Free to $15
Tools I used are: battery drill, 2 inch hole saw, 4 inch battery grinder, 5/16 drill bit, belt sander.
You may have some old grill's laying around. I had the handle I used and I have several used grill grates. I'm always looking for cheap grill parts on craigslist, facebook market place, yard sales, estate sales and laying beside the road. These parts once cost under $100, but now they are climbing to $150. Try and find the used items first before you go buy them.

These grills are cooking machines! They can cook as low as 200 degrees or as high as 500 degrees. These smokers can cook for up to 10 hours at 200 degrees using only 3/4's of a bag of 12 lb bag of charcoal. You set it and forget it!!

I hope you like the video! God Bless, Be Safe, Live Simple...Enjoy Life!
