DAY 16 - IF YOU BUILD GODS HOUSE, HE WILL BUILD YOUR HOUSE

Psa 127:1 Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.
Psa 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.

Mat 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

1Pe 2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

The builders work on a house… in vain unless the Lord builds it, the watchmen… guard in vain unless the Lord watches, and being anxious over one’s labor for food, money to pay bills, and working long hours is in vain. The toiling in Psa 127:2 should not be taken to mean that people need not be diligent, for the Scriptures elsewhere says we should. Rather, the point is that living life independently of God is futile. But a person who trusts in the Lord will find rest and victory.

Do you want God to build your house? Then build His house by seeking first His Kingdom and His righteousness and He will add the things to you that others forsake Him for. He will not just build you up a spiritual house, but your physical house, your family, your marriage, your career, your business and even your reputation long after you are gone from the earth. Praise The Lord!
