Did we break a sailboat record, completing the Panama Canal at night in only 6 Hours? Going the WRONG way!!

Filmed Nov 2022. At this time of year most the traffic through the Panama Canal flows from the Atlantic to to the Pacific due to the Christmas Winds picking up and blowing heavy winds and storms from the Caribbean into Panama.

6 Days after the closing of sale on the vessel we FINALLY have the travel papers and cruising papers needed to start our journey from Panama City, Panama to Florida! We wrap up the shipyard week with critical repairs and an unexpected haul out from the constant changing of plans. But now it is time to embark on the boat’s first adventure with us crossing the Panama canal at night. An unexpected twist in the twilight hours throws a devastating wrench in the whole game plan.
