How to Make Kung Pao Chicken at Home

First time cook and it came out pretty great! The spice and heat were perfect! Little bit complex on the ingredients but worth it in the end! Give it a try!

INGREDIENTS

- 2 lb of chicken breasts
- 2 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of onion powder
- 4 tsp of Chinese cooking wine or sherry cooking wine
- 1 - 2 egg whites
- 3 tbsp of cornstarch
- 2 tbsp of Sichuan Dou Ban Jiang
- 2 tbsp of light soy sauce
- 3 tbsp of black vinegar or balsamic vinaigrette
- a handful of red dried chilies
- 2 tbsp of Sichuan peppercorns, finely diced
- 2 tsp of dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp of garlic
- 2 tsp of ginger
- 2 tbsp of brown sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 2-4 tsp of cornstarch
- 6-8 pieces of the white part of the scallion
- 2/3 cup of roasted peanuts
