Phalaenopsis Orchid Teminal Spike Phase 2. This phalaenopsis is going downhill FAST! All the hallmarks of a dying Phalaenopsis are clearly visible! I wish the news were better, but here we are! I am going to try and save this phalaenopsis that now does not have any healthy roots, with the exception of 1 that needs to serve as a lifeline for the entire orchid. The phalaenopsis is stressed and in the process of dying, the leaves are flopping and starting to feel leathery. The rootless phalaenopsis with a terminal spike also is showing shrivelling in the leaves, meaning that she is definitely not hydrating well enough. The one root that could serve as a life line for this phalaenopsis with a terminal spike is too close to the stem for effective watering, so, this orchid is going into the set up of semi water culture... dead roots and all. #orchids #orchidcare #rescue #orquideas #plantas #orchideen #terminalspike #deadroots #waterculture
