TikTok Banned: Campus Chaos... #shorts

You hear about this?

Over a dozen major higher-ed systems, like Auburn, Georgia, and Oklahoma State, they banned TikTok in some form.

School-owned devices, campus networks, the whole shebang. This is a big deal, folks.

The biggest issues stemming from the ban on TikTok at many state colleges in the US include angry students and staff who feel that the ban is an infringement on their personal freedoms and a decision that should be left up to individual choice.

Additionally, there are concerns about the use of TikTok as an educational tool and the loss of access to it for those who use it in this way.

There are also security concerns about the amount of personal information collected by TikTok and the potential for it to be used by a company or government to track or target individuals with misinformation or influence campaigns.

The decision to ban TikTok may also be risky for politicians, as the app's main demographic is young people who have become an important voting group.
