On October 8th, 1871, a cow kicked over a small lantern that sparked the great Chicago fire; leaving over 100,000 homeless and 300 dead. Small objects have the potential to do a lot of damage. This is exactly what James says about the tongue. Our tongue (though a small member of our body) has the potential for great impact through the words we speak.
