Smarty is 10 years old, stands 13 hands tall, and such a handsome buttermilk buckskin quarter pony! Real deal ranch pony-he speaks for himself!
Smarty is fancy broke and a super fun ride! He is really trained, light and stays behind the bridle, moves off leg pressure and your seat. WTL pretty collected circles in the arena, smooth lead departures, sweet turnarounds, and a good stop. He has really smooth and steady gaits for being a pony. Whatever you can do in a bridle, he can do bridleless!
Smarty has been used like a big horse his entire life on the ranches in the Panhandle. Used in the feedyards, for the brandings, gathering, doctoring and sorting cattle. Traveled a lot of miles outside in the pasture, and has a smooth running walk. Even roped a few on him, tracked some around in the arena, and has been thru the box a handful of times. Would make a really cool roping prospect!
Easy to catch in the pasture, stands tied to be groomed, saddled and bathed. Picks up all his feet, has good feet and stays barefoot. He is very gentle, but has a fast running walk that wouldn’t suit a beginner or timid rider.
He has a spot in his right eye, that doesn't affect him at all, he still has vision in that eye. Checked by the vet and he is all good to go.
