The mangrove cat (Prionailurus viverrinus) is a medium-sized wild cat native to South and Southeast Asia. The mangrove cat is the largest of the Prionailurus cats. The mangrove cat is about twice the size of the domestic cat. An elongated face with a characteristic flat nose. The underside of the body is white, and the back of the ears is black with white spots in the middle. There are a pair of dark stripes around the throat, and a number of black rings on the tail. Their head to body length usually ranges from 57-78 cm, with a short tail of 20-30 cm. This cat weighs 5-16 kg.
