Stephen Curry is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on March 14, 1988 in Akron, Ohio, but grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Curry began his basketball career at Charlotte Christian School, where he led his team to three conference titles and one state championship. He then attended Davidson College, where he played college basketball for the Davidson Wildcats. In his sophomore year, Curry led the nation in scoring and was named a consensus first-team All-American.

Curry was then drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 2009 NBA draft with the seventh overall pick. In his rookie season, he won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award and was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Over the next several years, Curry established himself as one of the best shooters in the league and helped lead the Warriors to several playoff appearances and an NBA championship in 2015.

Curry is a six-time NBA All-Star, and has been named to the All-NBA First Team twice, the All-NBA Second Team twice, and the All-NBA Third Team once. He is also a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, winning the award in 2015 and 2016. He holds several NBA records, including the most three-pointers made in a season, and is considered one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.

Off the court, Curry is known for his philanthropy and charity work. He has supported various causes such as education, health, and children's welfare through his foundation. He is also an active member of the Christian community and frequently speaks about the role of faith in his life and career
