This is a shrine in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture. Not far from Noda City Station, and with a "toilet shrine," is an unusual shrine, Sakuragi Shrine.
You may recall that a few years ago, the song "Toilet God" sung by Hanana Uemura became a hit.
When I first visited, I remember being impressed by the cleanliness of the shrine grounds and the beauty of the toilets.
Not only did it look good, but it did not smell like a toilet at all.
Since then, every time I visit here, I re-clean my toilet at home... God teaches me the beauty of cleaning.
This shrine makes me realize that God loves cleanliness!
Please come and feel it!

My name is Mayu Noda.
I will introduce the charm of shrines around Tokyo, which I love.
Sometimes temples too.

If you are interested in learning more about shrines and temples, please write to us with your questions. There are shrines everywhere in Japan. Akihabara in Tokyo is famous for its electric town, but there are shrines even in its back alleys.

I hope that when people from other countries visit Japan, they will feel the sanctity of shrines and clear their minds.

I am not an expert, but I would like to answer questions as I learn more myself. Once I have some of the questions finalized, I will put them on video. Please write to me.
