The relationship of the political group of the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Carneiro, and her husband, the mayor of Belford Roxo (RJ), Waguinho, with the former military police officer Juracy Alves Prudêncio, the "Jura", opened the first crisis in the government by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT). In addition to the political embarrassment to the PT administration, it also exposed a split in União Brasil in support of the Planalto Palace.

Affiliated with União Brasil, Daniela and Waguinho have a close relationship with "Jura", convicted and imprisoned on charges of having led a militia in the Baixada Fluminense, in Rio de Janeiro. The proximity to the militia member, imprisoned since 2009 in the Constantino Cokotós Public Prison, in Niterói (RJ), generated discomfort in União Brasil. Internally, some party leaders even advocate a public disassociation from the Lula government. The movement is already made by some parliamentarians.

Federal deputy Danilo Forte (União Brasil-CE) points out that neither Daniela, nor the Minister of Communications, Juscelino Filho (União Brasil), and the Minister of Integration and Regional Development, Waldez Góes (currently affiliated with the PDT, but who will migrate to the UB by agreement), are indicated by the party bench.
