Mass rally in Paris against pension reforms

We are live from Paris on Saturday, January 21 as locals rally against recent government pension reforms, raising the retirement age from 62 to 64.

Thousands are expected to join the demonstration, including leftist politician and former leader of 'La France Insoumise' group Jean-Luc Melenchon, who has described the changes as 'serious social regression'.

The government claims the reforms are needed due to the increase in life expectancy.
