Mariupol's battle scars and recovery works

Months after the battle for Mariupol ended, the coastal city still bears the scars of some of the fiercest combat seen during the conflict.

The drama theater maintains its façade, but the interior now houses diggers clearing the rubble left from the blast that destroyed it. Across the city, the collapsed apartment buildings make way for new homes. The Azovstal plant, where the Ukrainian fighters, mainly from Azov Battalion and the marines, made their explosive last stand, still lies in ruins.

As the rebuilding operation continues, these drone shots capture a city still hurting, but defiantly recovering.
