Over the years, he has served in various roles for the Republican Party, and in 2016, David was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2018 and in 2020 he was re-elected to the House of Representatives and he currently is in his third term serving the 8th District of Tennessee. He is a member of the House Financial Services Committee and serves on two subcommittees: Consumer Protection and Financial Institutions and Oversight and Investigations.
