Guillermo “Memo” Acosta is a man with “too many skills.” Before becoming a Hard Money Lender at Suazo Holdings LLC, he started his professional career in Pharmaceuticals. He dealt with depression and ADHD diagnosis during this time, but with the right treatment, he was able to focus his energy. And soon enough, he became regional manager.

He ended his career in this business to spend time with his son. This man of many talents also built several businesses over the years, including a trucking business, pediatric consulting, business consulting, building clinics, opening up cellphone stores, and even cleaning toilets and sidewalks.

Memo credits his mentors, especially Gilbert whom he met while working as a waiter at 17. Join us in an episode of incredible stories, helpful insights, and raw vulnerability.

Quotes -
“By the grace of God everything, I had learned over those eight years turned me into the perfect partner for him (Albert Medina( and being able for us to move pretty quickly. We can lend millions of dollars in 10 days.”

“Gilbert Malooly taught me the commercial side. Then I learned the residential side, and it was just a combination of everything coming together. But where I think our biggest resource was–we started helping a lot of people who were brand new flippers.”

“ Never present the deal to a lender if it's not a real deal. If you don't have the assignment contract or you don't have the sales contract, don't bring it to me. I don't get the time to talk to you brother.”

“I smirk a little bit because there are a lot of people out there that act like they know what they're doing, and they don't.”

“I just don't like people being taken advantage of. I see all these wholesale classes, and they're charging like $3000 to $4000, but teach them common sense–the teaching that you got to go knock on doors, or you got to “go hustle.”

“I'm an incredible negotiator because I believe for everyone, it has to be a win-win situation.”

“The first thing that you need to do when you're purchasing a house is don't be bashful to walk away from a deal.”

“We love to pump people up, but we also want our listeners to know that failure is part of the journey.”

“If you ever want to learn how to sell, get into the service industry–become a waiter or bartender.”

“You could either become a victim of that failure or you could learn from it–improve, move on and try again. And obviously, most of the people we interview on this show learn from it. They improved, and they tried again.” (Tim)

“Don't be afraid to embrace new business ventures, but get into business ventures that you know.”
