I got off the beaton path and needed to venture back to the original pathway, but I will say, it was a wonderful day to see God's creation and hike for miles in the New Mexico Rio Grande valley and the volcanic escarpment. Young example of a long basaltic fissure eruption, many small volcanologic details preserved and within a few minutes drive of Albuquerque. 1/19/23
