KEEPING AT BAY: US Coast Guard Monitors Russian Spy Vessel Off Hawaiian Coast

This is the Russian spy ship being tracked by the US Coast Guard off the coast of Hawaii.

The vessel, believed to have been gathering intelligence, has reportedly been monitored for weeks by the US Coast Guard.

Units of District 14 kept a close watch on the Russian vessel that was spotted lurking off the coast of Hawaii, in the Pacific Ocean.

The footage was obtained by Newsflash from the US Coast Guard, along with a short statement; "In recent weeks, the US Coast Guard has continued to monitor a Russian vessel, believed to be an intelligence gathering ship, off the coast of the Hawaiian Islands.

"The Coast Guard continues to coordinate with Department of Defense partners, providing updates to foreign vessel movements and activities and to appropriately meet presence with presence to encourage international maritime norms."
