Yuri Bezmenov's Warning to the US back in 1984

Yuri Bezmenov is arguably the second-most famous Soviet defector to the West after Alexander Solzhenitsyn. He gained his experience working at the heart of the Soviet propaganda machine where he learned and mastered the importance of media manipulation and academic influence.

This is an edited version of his famous 1984 interview where he explains and defines “ideological subversion” (the “process of changing the perception of reality in the minds of millions of people”). This 6+ minute clip is taken from a longer interview. In this edited clip, Bezmenov boils down the 4 stages of successful ideological subversion: demoralization, destabilization, crisis, and normalization.
