DIY pinecone fire starters are a great way to use a natural resource that we have an abundance of here on our homestead. Otherwise the pinecones go to waste...but now, we're putting them to good use. Living off grid in Alaska, we heat primarily on wood heat. These pinecone fire starters are EASY to make & a really fun project to do with your kiddos.
