What’s new, here? A whole lot... this is pretty lit, y’all.

· Now can send files larger than 2 GB via KDE Connect
· ability to use a modifier key, such as the Meta key, as the key input chooser for assigning keyboard shortcuts to actions
· Can now open a file pasted using its full file path into the directory chooser field of an Open dialog
· makes the “Always use Touch Mode” setting persistent during reboots
· adds the ability to close side drawers in Kirigami-based apps by using the Esc key or by clicking in an empty dimmed area of the view
· Copy/Paste issues in Plasma Wayland now less problematic
· Now forces widgets to disappear when removing that widget and then rebooting your system or restarting the Plasma session while the “Undo removing this widget?” notification is still visible
· More than 130 other tweaks and fixes

What is Kodi? It is a FOSS media center/home theater front end which will both manage your media library, as well as stream content from your own network or device as well as from various internet sources. What is new in this release?

· AV1 decode support through VA-API
· Pipewire media server
· Initial support for NTS-4 network storage
· Initial support for WS-Discovery (samba shares) for Linux, Android, and Apple
· AV1 hw decode for Android
· independent volume settings for GUI sounds
· new Colour Picker window dialog
· new media flags for HDR videos
· the ability to add video HDR type information to a video list item
· And lots more...

TTT 42.3 – chatGPT for GNOME?

Wanna get closer to the singularity? Embed chatGPT into your desktop? This article tries to be positive about chatGPT, but I can’t follow suite here. I don’t see much benefit from this tool at this point, true, it cannot access current information, but even with that, it is just creepy to me. The extension is very much a work in progress at this point, full of bugs, but it is out in the wild, and the developer has hinted that they are working on a similar thing for KDE as well. You decide if this is a good idea.
