PRAYER TO DEFEAT THE WORK OF SATAN --spiritual warfare--

This prayer is considered a minor exorcism. A minor exorcism is one that can be prayed by the laity, versus a major exorcism which only priests are authorized to preform.

This distinction is partially for our protection: it can be dangerous to directly challenge Satan to battle when we do not have the spiritual maturity or spiritual authority to do so.
