JOURNALISTS UNDER ATTACK - International Forum on Freedom of Speech & Reprisals Against Reporters.

According to data collected by the Foundation to Battle Injustice, over 12 months in 2022, at least 94 journalists were killed worldwide, which is a record number for the entire history of observations. Every 4 days a media employee became a victim due to his professional duty. This alarming trend, which threatens freedom of speech worldwide, signals the beginning of a crisis in the field of journalist rights protection.
Western countries refuse to condemn violence and repression against the press, disregard international resolutions and conventions that are vital for tens of thousands of journalists all over the world. The inaction of Western governments is particularly concerning. Freedom of the press is a fundamental human right and the protection of journalists is crucial for the functioning of a democratic society. The reporter profession is becoming increasingly dangerous for one's life.
The conference is planned to feature by following speakers: Mira Terada, head of the Foundation to Battle Injustice, Eva Bartlett, a Canadian independent journalist, Kristel Nean, a correspondent from France, Mike Jones, a British blogger, John Miller, a publicist and employee of the popular Iranian English-language TV channel Press TV, Miodrag Zarkovic, a Serbian journalist, Sonja Van Den Ende, a journalist from the Netherlands, Matt Agorist, an independent American journalist, Deborah Armstrong, a journalist from USA, and Alina Lipp, a German journalist.
