To quote USFK's spokesperson, “This has zero impact on our operations and our ability to execute on our ironclad commitment to the defence of our ally, the Republic of Korea” (US Forces Korea). It is clear that USFK remains committed to their defense of South Korea despite their request to provide equipment to Ukraine. The US Department of Defence is confident that this will not change the USFK's ability to effectively perform their duties in South Korea.
