Here's an explanation of why IEX is the best venue. In our opinion, IEX gives the best fills in the mid of the market without any leaks compared to these other locations. This is because IEX lacks what is known as an order-by-order data feed. By the way, that is the most important key because it powers market structure. The fuel that powers it is the data, so if they weren't constantly giving away order-by-order data and selling it every time I touched a key, I'd have a better chance, and IEX wouldn't do that. Since we are also in different dark pools, I feel much more at ease and my field is much better there.
