DANNY SULLIVAN - Entertain God

"Entertain God" is an energetic, fast-paced rock song by musician Danny Sullivan. At a blistering 150 BPM, this tune features distorted guitars 🎸, drums 🥁, and vocals 🎤. I created this track after seeing a video of internet cult hero Terry A. Davis, a computer programmer responsible for creating an entire operating system from scratch. He claimed he was ordered by God to create this OS and so he named it TempleOS. In the video I saw of him he said our goal in this life is to "entertain God". This was an idea I had had in my mind for some time, and it was interesting to hear the way he phrased it.

It is like the Sims video game where the characters exist for the entertainment of the person playing the game. Or like us watching the ants in an ant colony. Only the ants that act differently are specifically paid attention to. The rest of the ants work to maintain the colony in the background and mostly go unnoticed.

So this begs the question, what entertains God (or the Creator, or the Watchers, or your 4th Dimensional Self, or Aliens, or whatever is above us)? I believe the highest form of entertainment is creation resulting in growth. New inventions, songs, pieces of artwork, and ideas are pleasing if they result in growth (increased consciousness, health, wisdom, etc.). If one's creations do not result in growth (personal or communal) then they are not truly creative.

Unfortunately, I think God (or any of the previously mentioned higher beings) gets entertainment from destruction as well. Hence, our history is a timeline of destruction. The hope is that all the temporary and partial destruction prevents permanent and total destruction of the system at large. Injected chaos allows a higher order to be found. This chaos needs to be periodically injected because a state of absolute order and contentment is devoid of growth. Rebirth (on any scale) can only occur after death.

Some are born to create, some to destroy, and some to simply maintain the ant colony.
