On Monday Johannesburg High Court granted Ramaphosa an interim interdict to be removed from the legal case brought against him by former president, Jacob Zuma.
This after Zuma instituted private prosecution against the president involving advocate Billy Downer and journalist Karyn Maughan as “accessory after the fact”.

Today, the former president was in court to ensure his case is not struck from the roll.
Advocate Dali Mpofu said in court, "The instruction we have is to appeal the full bench order."
The decision on Monday, granted President Cyril Pamaphosa the latitude to not be present in court today.
The matter was postponed to 26 May 2023.
