In this video, Christine Marchesiello, a successful real estate broker and team lead of the The Marchesiello Team - Keller Williams Saratoga Springs New York, shares her journey of how she turned being an agent into running a business and achieving a net worth of around 5 million dollars through investing in real estate. She has built a business that allows her to be "essentially retired at 42 if she wants to be."

She discusses how she had hit rock bottom after 10 years in the industry, not seeing her children as much as she wanted, and feeling unfulfilled. She shares how she had an epiphany that she needed a change and spent several years learning about building and managing teams, researching different team models and philosophies. She explains the importance of researching different team models and finding a high-functioning team that focuses on treating team members well, before setting up a team. She also talks about using a personality assessment called KPA to assess potential hires for the agent role, mentioning that for the agent role, the most important traits are interpersonal skills, drive and being a "people person" i.e. an I or a D type of personality. On the operational side, being a C type of personality (i.e. being detail-oriented) is essential.

She also shares her perspective that high D personalities are not something to be afraid of and can bring a lot of success to the business as long as the business is able to expand and provide growth opportunities for them. Lastly, she talks about her organic business and how she focuses on converting leads through great follow-up, accountability, and old-school methods such as open houses.
