Park Ranger Tells What Happened at Yosemite National Park

I am a park ranger at Yosemite National Park. Let me start off by saying we thought we were going to catch one. I mean, we almost caught one. I've been a ranger for 7 years and I've never experienced anything like this. This happened in 2017. I was working the overnight shift at the Tuolumne Meadows campground during the summer.

It was around 2:00 AM when I first saw what I believe was a sasquatch. It was walking along the Tuolumne River, about 50 yards from the campground. I was surprised by how large it was. It looked like a very large man with long dark hair and a full beard. The creature walked in an odd way, almost like it had a limp or something.

It seemed to favor its right leg/foot as it walked along the riverbank. I watched for several minutes as it made its way downriver, then disappeared behind some trees and bushes. I went inside my ranger station to grab my flashlight and camera, but when I returned outside the sasquatch was gone. I spent several minutes scanning the area with my flashlight but did not see anything unusual.
