AS TREMORS (previously unreleased) | Malcolm Dome & The Modern State of Music Journalism
2 years ago
14
On this backdated episode of Tremors (originally recorded 10/2021), Matt and Chris start things off with a prelude as to why the episode was not initially released upon its recording in 2021 and the changes they have seen since in rock and metal journalism. They discuss the career and importance of Malcolm Dome and how modern day journalism has become focused more on the writer and personal opinions rather than the music and musicians. The guys also get into a deep discussion about the negative effects that social media has on music and how it is no longer a promotional tool but an interactive one that has done more harm than good with many artists and has diminished the mystique of musicianship.
