1. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has launched a pre-trial investigation into the crash of a helicopter in Brovary, Kyiv region. The agency is considering three versions: violation of flight rules, technical malfunction of the helicopter, as well as deliberate actions to destroy the vehicle.

The department announced the death of 16 people, including three children. 30 people were hospitalized, including 12 children.

The helicopter with the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on board, which crashed on January 18 in Brovary near Kyiv, could have crashed due to the inexperience of the crew. Andrey Krasnoperov, an instructor pilot, Air Force major, master of sports in aerobatics on jet aircraft, shared this opinion with Izvestiya.

“Most likely, there was some kind of obstacle on the way, maybe high-voltage wires. Moreover, the helicopter was flying at an extremely low altitude, which is unsafe,” the expert says.
