Although it's true that there's less variety of birds during the winter in Ottawa compared to summer, there are still some cool birds to see. Presented here are in order, a red-breasted nuthatch, which stays in the region of Ottawa throughout the year; Bohemian Waxwings, winter visitors, which love to gorge themselves on small fruits; and Pileated woodpecker, which also stays in the region year round.
