We review the ASUS TUF Dash F15 gaming laptop! It's a little more money, but we think it offers substantial value and quality over the HP Victus. If you're looking for the best gaming laptop under $1,500 this one may just be it! Find out more details in the video!

Our review unit configured as:
15.6" 144Hz FHD Display
Intel Core i7-12650H
GeForce RTX 3060
16GB DDR5
512GB SSD NVMe

0:00 - Intro
0:45 - Specs
1:35 - Keyboard - Great keyboard. Solid tactile response, and WASD keys are highlighted for those gamers. Has a backlight and a full size numpad. Hard to ask for a whole lot more, and it has a good ergonomic feel.

2:00 - Trackpad - Bigger than average, though sometimes it registers false input sometimes. It's a solid trackpad but ultimately they could have worked on this a little bit more.

2:45 - LCD - 144Hz 15.6" FHD Non-Touch 350nit Matte IPS display. Absolutely one of those best looking LCDs we've seen on a laptop in this price range. Viewing angles are solid, the 144hz is LIQUID smooth, and the colors are accurate and vibrant. Gamers are editors alike are going to love this LCD.

3:53 - Speakers - No surprise, they're terrible. No life, not that loud, and while they advertise Hi-Res Dolby, it is anything but. Stick to the headphones or external speakers when using this laptop.

4:50 - I/O - They gave you everything you'd need for gaming and productivity use. Not much more you can ask for and it's equipped with Thunderbolt 4 which will allow you to use Data, an external display, AND power the laptop. Great combo.

6:00 - Features - Wifi 6, Bluetooth, Thunderbolt 4, 2x NVMe slots, a Backlit Keyboard, USB-C, and a webcam. Features are pretty much everything you need for a modern machine. There is no Windows Hello compatible Fingerprint reader or camera so make sure you lock it down with a Pin if your floating around a Con or LAN party.

7:25 - Mobility - Battery life takes a hit because its a powerful gaming laptop. Most using this machine however will be using it plugged in. It's size or course is quite large and that's due to the hardware and cooling limitations. It's not a travelers notebook, but those buying this are probably buying it for gaming, not traveling. Students may struggle carrying this around campus. The plastics on it feel a little on the cheaper side, and while I can't believe I'm saying this, the HP Victus plastics feel like they are higher quality. That said, this notebook should hold up just fine with moderate abuse.

9:00 - Benchmark - It's a fast powerful gaming laptop. If you're buying this thing in order to do gaming of any sort, we don't think you'll have too much of a problem playing games between medium and ultra settings (depending on the game).
