Thousands of nurses go on 48-hour strike in ongoing dispute over pay in the UK

Nurses at 55 National Health Service (NHS) trusts across England started two days of strikes on Wednesday, January 18, in an ongoing dispute with the government over pay and patient safety, according to the Royal College of Nursing.
