In This Short we have the latest transfer news from Rangers
Fabrizio Romano and Michael Beale have both commented on Rangers links to Swansea attacker Morgan Whittaker – with reports claiming the forward wants an Ibrox switch.

The Gers remain in the hunt for January signings but are yet to make a first-team move this winter with supporters getting antsy as the window enters its final two weeks.

Rangers boss Michael Beale has previously claimed that there could be up to four new faces in through the door this month but so far a lack of movement has supporters nervous.

However that could all be about to change amid links to Morgan Whittaker with the ex-Plymouth attacker – who was on fire with the Pilgrims in the first half of the season – officially an Ibrox target.

At least that’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that the 22-year-old ex-Derby County attacker wants to make a move to Rangers happen.
This comes after earlier reports claimed Rangers had a bid of £900k rejected for the player, with Swansea holding out for closer to £2m.

Michael Beale discusses Morgan Whittaker links
Morgan Whittaker was also the subject of discussion by Michael Beale heading into the midweek clash with Kilmarnock as links around the attacker intensified.

The Rangers boss was a little coy on the links to the former Derby County talent but it’s clear Morgan Whittaker is a player Michael Beale rates.

“He’s a player that we know, I think he’s a good player,” said Michael Beale.

“There’s no update on that yet. To be fair, he’s just come back off a loan and back at his parent club. They think he’s done very well.

“He’s Swansea’s player, but he’s certainly a player that I’m aware of from working down south. Knowing his background, I think he’s a good player.

“We’re looking at all areas, but obviously we’re looking to bring in more goals.

“We’ve had injuries in the front line, we’ve not had Antonio or Kemar fit. Rabbi Matondo has had an ongoing problem with his knee so he’s not been available.

“Alfredo has a contract situation and so does Ryan Kent. So we have a gap in the forward areas to make sure that we’re strong. We need goalscorers in the building.”
