Run Against Traffic - Road Responsibility Falls on the Runner

Operators of vehicles cannot always see you and they aren’t going to expect a runner to be on the road.

If there is no shoulder to run on, consider taking an alternate route of time affords. If you’re pressed for time and must take this route, then shift your gaze from your feet to the road in front of you.

Pay attention to oncoming traffic and pause your run to get in the ditch. The thought that pedestrians always have the legal right of way will not matter if you get hurt, killed or cause an accident which harms or kills another person.
