Augustine and John Chrysostom are both regarded as saints and great sources of theology for the Catholic, Orthodox and Anglican churches and they are both highly regarded even in many other Protestant churches today. But these men had very different opinions when it came to the issue of the ancient practice of the corporal discipline of wives.

In this second podcast in my series on Domestic Discipline, I explore the differing opinions of these two giants of the Christian faith and also talk about how the differences between the Roman (Latin) and Greek (Hellenistic) cultures affected their views on the matter of the corporal punishment of women.
